About Us
Finding Hope in Every Turn
The Support and Solidarity Organization for Humanitarian Aid (SSOHA) is a nonprofit humanitarian organization established in Iraq to serve vulnerable and underserved communities. Our mission is to provide timely assistance not only in times of crisis but also to those lacking access to basic needs and opportunities. We deliver essential relief such as safe drinking water, food, shelter, medical supplies, and hygiene kits, while also supporting long-term recovery through education, training, and sustainable development initiatives. Guided by compassion, solidarity, and accountability, SSOHA is committed to alleviating suffering, restoring dignity, and empowering individuals to build better futures.
Our Story
I was once a refugee. I know what it means to lose everything—home, security, and dignity—and to still hold on to hope.
That experience shaped me, and it became the reason I founded the Support and Solidarity Organization for Humanitarian Aid (SSOHA).
As a biomedical scientist from London now studying Physiotherapy in Iraq, I realized that knowledge must be turned into action.
My ambition is to build SSOHA strong here in Iraq, to stand firm for people before reaching the world.
We provide urgent relief—water, food, shelter, medical supplies—but we also go beyond survival. Through free learning, workshops, and training, we give people the tools to rise again, to rebuild, and to dream of a better future.
This is not just my story—it is the story of SSOHA: born from the pain of displacement, driven by solidarity, and determined to transform suffering into strength for Iraq, and one day, the world.
